Bill Pesch becomes member of the U.S. Supreme Court bar.

On June 5, 2017, Attorney Bill Pesch attended a special ceremony at the Supreme Court in Washington D.C.  Chief Justice John Roberts administered the oath to him, along with approximately 150 other attorneys, authorizing them to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court.  Attorney Pesch accepted an invitation extended to him, and other senior members of the American Bar Association (ABA), to participate in this special occasion.

Following the ceremony, the ABA attorneys and their guests attended a luncheon at one of the reception rooms located in the Supreme Court building. Because all electronics and cameras are banned from the courtroom, no photographs had been taken of the swearing in ceremony.  However, during the luncheon, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg graciously dropped by to congratulate the newly admitted attorneys and to pose for photographs with them.

“It was both an honor and a privilege to have participated in such a special event,” said Pesch following the ceremony.  “I’ll take these memories back to Guam with me.  In the future, as I research Supreme Court cases for my practice, I have no doubt that I will frequently flash back to the ceremony and reflect on the fact that, thankfully, America is a nation of laws.”
